Korean Blood Clam Sashimi (Akagai)

12 pieces · 130g (4.6 oz)

Enjoy the distinctive flavor and satisfyingly firm, chewy texture of Korean blood clam, also known as Akagai or ark shell. Its beautiful reddish-orange color and subtly sweet, briny flavor make it a popular choice for sushi and sashimi.

Conveniently cleaned and portioned into 12 pieces, it is easy to prepare and serve.

How to enjoy

  • Thaw in the refrigerator, drain any excess moisture, and serve chilled.
  • Enjoy with soy sauce, wasabi, or a touch of citrus.
  • Place on small rice balls for homemade blood clam nigiri.
